爪切りと言えば、ほとんどの人が「銀色（シルバー）」を連想するのではないでしょうか。今回は、珍しい「黒」の爪切りをレビューしたいと思います。
シンプルなビニール包装。クールなイメージがありましたので、少し驚きました（笑。これは購入したショップが独自に包装したものか？とも考えましたが、木屋さんのラベルも貼ってあるのできっとオリジナルでしょう。
中には、日本橋木屋の歴史や、爪切りの特徴が記載されたメッセージが同封されていました。爪を痛めることなく、堅い爪でもスパっと切れる切れ味についてや、切った爪が飛び散るのを防ぐカバー（ストッパー）が付いていることが書いてあります。
実際に持ってみると、思った以上に軽い爪切り。
オサエ、ビス、針金、オサエ裏のヤスリといった各部品も全て黒で統一され、正面・横・背面どからも見ても黒。
写真では分かりづらいですが、オサエ裏にあるヤスリ部分。
実際に爪を切る時は、このように上側のオサエをひっくり返し爪を切ります。昔ながらのスタンダードな爪切りです。
切った爪が飛び散るのを防ぐケース（ストッパー）が付いています。写真のように、取り外しが可能です。特に力を入れなくても簡単に取り外しができます。
オサエ表部分には、「KIYA」の刻印が入っています。ローマ字でかっこいいですね。

爪を切ろうと親指で押さえる時に、思った以上に力が必要でした。男の私ですら少々手こずりましたので、女性ですと最初は戸惑いがあるかもしれませんね（何度か使い続けるうちに、柔らかくなるかもしれません）。実際、妻に使ってもらいましたが「握るのに力がかなりいるねー。私には使えない・・・」というレビューでした。
使う人によって好みがあると思いますが、硬めでもしっかり切れるタイプをお好みの方に最適です。そして、「パチンッ」とよく切れます。
